This Website is fresh and userfriendly. It makes teaching about biomes feel more experiential when you don't have the option to fly to the grasslands of africa. The blend alot of content with quite a bit of humour. Check out their biomes podcats!

This resource in INVALUABLE. When I know I will have a sub, I create EcoMedia question sheets, based on a playlist I have carefully selected. Because the clips are short I can select a few to create a case...or create contrast. An example: Clip on Grassland biome, followed by BBC clip of impala and wild dogs in the temperate savanna, followed by clip of Chevrolet Impala, commercial. The EcoMedia questions include, Where are grassland biomes found? What three factors are required to maintain grassland biomes? Impalas are herbivores making them primary consumers, what would that make the wild dogs? Why would Chevrolet name a car The Impala? Given your knowledge of grassland and impalas was the Chevrolet Impala commercial appropriate? A class with YouTube clips along with the space to reflect critically is fun and goes by very quickly, classroom management is a non-issue as students connect with the fast pace, yet are still asked to be active participants. Best of both worlds.
